Open Competitions 2023
We will run four Open events this year, as well as our Festival of Golf Week which golfers who are members of an affiliated Club with a current WHS handicap are warmly invited to enter. These events are always very popular and you are advised to submit your entry early. Places are usually allocated on a first come first served basis.
The Veterans' Open is held in the middle of May. This is an 18-holes Stableford competition for teams of three visitors plus one Bearsted member, with the two best scores on each hole to count.

The Bearsted Men's Open held at the end of May is a Kent Order of Merit event played as a 36-holes medal for players from an Affiliated Club with a handicap index of 15.9 or below. There are prizes for the best scratch and handicap score.
The Ladies Open is held at the end of August. This is played as a three-ball team event and is always well supported by Clubs throughout Kent.
The final Open event of the season is the Mixed Open. An 18-holes Greensomes Stableford played in fours and this takes place in mid September.
